Shannon Ayres is a corporate and commercial photographer based in Northern Virginia, specializing in portraiture for editorial features and advertising campaigns.

He brings a calm, process-driven approach to commissioned work, balancing visual clarity with sensitivity to subject and context—particularly when working with executives, professionals, and public-facing clients.

His work has appeared in Washingtonian, USA Today Magazine, Virginia Business, Architect, Northern Virginia Magazine, Middleburg Life, and Arlington Magazine.

Shannon holds an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and has developed more than twenty accredited graduate-level photography courses. He has also taught for Smithsonian Resident Associates in Washington, D.C.
