He/Him
I am an editorial and corporate photographer in Northern Virginia.
My undergraduate degree is from The American University in the District, where I focused on print journalism. My graduate degree is from San Francisco’s Academy of Art University where I concentrated on fine art photography.
I have taught classes in portraiture, composition, landscape and color theory for the Smithsonian Associates in Washington, D.C. I have also designed and written over 20 accredited graduate-level classes in photography.
I’ve been married to Amy for 20 years. She is a fancy pants magazine editor, so we have lots of electrifying dinner table debates about the Oxford comma. (I’m for; she’s against.) We have two daughters in high school and an incorrigible Labrador retriever.
In addition to photography, I love cooking and picking the banjo.
