Shannon Ayres is a corporate and commercial photographer based in Northern Virginia, specializing in portraiture for editorial and advertising clients.

His work has appeared in Washingtonian, Arlington, Middleburg Life, Northern Virginia Magazine, USA Today Magazine, Virginia Business, and Architect.

Shannon holds an MFA in Photography from San Francisco’s Academy of Art University and has written and designed more than twenty accredited graduate-level photography courses. He has also taught for the Smithsonian Resident Associates in Washington, D.C.

Shannon lives in Reston, Virginia with his wife, Amy, and their two daughters. When he’s not behind the camera, he enjoys cooking and playing the mandolin.

Available for commercial photography assignments throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
